Choosing the Best LED Strip Lighting for Your Project

LED light strips are a flexible, efficient, and versatile lighting solution, ideal for a wide range of applications. Whether you're lighting up your home, office, or an outdoor area, there's an LED strip option to suit your needs. In this guide, we’ll introduce the various types of LED strips available from WeLoveLEDs, including SuperSlim, water-resistant, and eco-friendly strips.

Classic LED Strip Lighting

Our range of classic LED strips comes in a variety of colours, including static options like blue, green, red, and pure or warm white, as well as RGB. Pure and warm white lights, such as the Classic 120 24v LED strip, are perfect for discreet lighting applications or for adding subtle ambience to a room.

All our classic strips are designed for long life, with lifespans of up to 30,000 hours. With a pre-mounted adhesive backing, they can be easily installed on clean, dry surfaces. However, these strips are suited for indoor use only.

SuperSlim LED Strip Lighting

As the name suggests, SuperSlim LED strip lights are incredibly narrow, just a few millimetres wide. This makes them ideal for illuminating hard-to-reach, narrow profiles like bannisters, doorways, or cabinet edges. They can be custom-cut to fit your space precisely.

Both the UltraSlim 168 and Ultra 180 strips are only four millimetres wide, making them a great option for accent lighting in homes or offices. However, these strips are not water-resistant, with an IP20 rating, so they are best used for dry, indoor applications.

Colour-Changing LED Strip Lighting

Our colour-changing LED strips come in both RGB and RGBW varieties. RGB strips feature red, green, and blue LED chips to create a full spectrum of colours, while RGBW adds a white LED chip for greater flexibility, allowing you to switch between vibrant, decorative lighting and standard white lighting.

The S-Type 48 RGB strip is highly flexible, perfect for lighting around corners and shaping into built-up channel letters or flat logos. For more dynamic and decorative lighting displays, consider the Pixel 60 or Pixel 60 RIGID, which offer colour flexibility and vibrant effects.

Water-Resistant LED Strip Lighting

Water-resistant LED strips are designed for use in areas where moisture is present, such as kitchens, bathrooms, gardens, and other outdoor spaces. With a higher IP rating, these strips can handle splashes and moisture but should not be fully submerged in water.

For example, the Water Resistant 60 LED Strip is available in pure or warm white, while the Water Resistant 60 RGB LED Strip offers a more colourful, versatile option.

Eco LED Strip Lighting

All LED lights are eco-friendly when compared to halogen and incandescent bulbs, but our Eco LED strips are designed to be even more energy-efficient. Manufactured with non-toxic materials, these strips consume less power and help reduce your energy usage.

The Eco 60 Strip 12v is available in pure or warm white and features a slim profile of W8mm x H2.5mm. With an IP20 rating, it is ideal for discreet indoor applications. These strips are also dimmable, allowing you to control brightness levels to suit your mood or setting.
